Your Body Is a Network of
InterConnected Systems

In our everyday lives, we navigate constant stressors and changes. Human beings are remarkable in what we accomplish—and endure—each day, but we're also masters of compensation. Where we hold tension, how we move (or don't move), and how we recover from injuries all shape our physical function over time.

Our priority is to identify and evaluate dysfunction, then work with you to provide beneficial, therapeutic manual treatment. However, because dysfunction often results from cumulative, repetitive patterns, meaningful change takes time and effort. Our goal is to encourage interoception—your awareness of what's happening inside your body—while creating lasting tissue changes for positive outcomes.

We approach treatment with a Clear Objective: to help you reach a level of function where you feel confident in your progress, can implement self-care strategies, and return on an as-needed or maintenance basis.

During your intake evaluation, we'll assess movement patterns, identify potential causes of musculoskeletal issues, and determine the best course of treatment for you—before, during, and after each session.

At Function, manual therapy is both science and art. We apply our knowledge of anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, and kinesiology to deliver therapeutic treatment that supports your overall well-being. In some ways, you could call me your "Massage Artist"!

Kyphotic Spine Issues

Function is Dedicated to Providing Exceptional Care for Every Client.

Neuromuscular Manual Therapy (NMT) is especially well-suited for individuals experiencing chronic pain, muscle dysfunction, or musculoskeletal issues that don’t fully improve with general massage or standard treatments. It is particularly effective for clients with specific, localized pain, structural imbalances, postural problems, or lingering injuries that need targeted attention.

Who Benefits Most from Neuromuscular Manual Therapy?

NMT is especially effective for individuals with specific, localized pain, structural imbalances, or persistent issues that haven't fully responded to general massage or standard treatments.

Chronic Pain & Dysfunction: Myofascial pain syndrome, fibromyalgia, arthritis, nerve impingement conditions (sciatica, carpal tunnel, thoracic outlet syndrome), and persistent trigger points.

Athletic Performance & Recovery: Sports injuries, overuse patterns (tennis elbow, runner's knee), post-competition recovery, and injury prevention for active individuals at any level.

Postural & Occupational Issues: Pain from prolonged sitting or computer work, "tech neck," shoulder tension, back pain from standing work, and compensatory movement patterns following injury.

Post-Surgical & Injury Rehabilitation: Scar tissue management, adhesion reduction, restoration of mobility and circulation, and facilitation of tissue healing.

Stress & Tension Management: Chronic muscle holding patterns, tension headaches and migraines, stress-related shoulder and neck tightness, and nervous system regulation.

Preventative Care: Maintaining mobility, preventing injury in physically demanding work or activities, and staying proactive about musculoskeletal health.

If you're unsure whether NMT is right for your situation, we'll discuss your specific needs during your initial consultation.
